Welcome Home
The Marigold Krabi was our very first pop-up community, where like-minded women can stay for monthly increments (min one month), to relax, recover, heal and rebuild.
This a charming boutique wellness retreat is located in the beautiful Province of Krabi, Thailand. It is embraced by the Andaman Sea and sheltered by majestic limestone mountains, keeping it safe from harsh winds. The land gently slopes, adorned with vibrant wildflowers that attract a rainbow of butterflies and birds. Listen for the monkeys calling across the treetops while exploring our shaded hiking and biking trails, which meander past serene fishponds and lead to a picturesque 5km coastal walk.
A lush, preserved forest surrounds us, providing a safe habitat for squirrels, hornbills, and an abundance of songbirds. Wander through the organic gardens, where you'll discover Thai medicinal plants alongside tropical delights like coconuts, pineapples, mangoes, bananas, and cashews. You’ll also find over 100 native plant species, each thoughtfully tagged to share their unique benefits and uses.
Owned by a warm-hearted Thai woman and lovingly managed by her daughter, a Thai team runs the show. Embracing the Buddhist belief that true happiness comes from being present and mindful, every aspect of Marigold Krabi fosters tranquility and joy for those who visit.

Location
Just a short 10-minute drive from the bustling Ao Nang area, Marigold Krabi is perfectly situated near some of the region’s most stunning spots—Koh Phi Phi (only an hour away), Phuket (a 3.5-hour drive), Koh Lanta (a peaceful 3-hour journey), and Koh Samui (a 4-hour trip to the ferry terminal).
What’s in a Name
Even though we call our property ‘Marigold Krabi,’ that’s just a charming pseudonym inspired by the movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. To safeguard the original brand and its retail business, we use this delightful name. Rest assured, once you book your stay with us, we’ll provide you with the hotel’s actual address and legal name.
The Villas
The property has 24 meticulously designed 1-bedroom villas, which sit nestled within leafy, green gardens. Each of the villas has been thoughtfully positioned, ensuring both privacy and a sense of community. Sited well back from the road, this provides residents with safety and a true sense of belonging.
Modern interiors are characterized by deep comfort and each villa comes complete with essential amenities. Make yourself at home with air-conditioning, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, rice cooker, toaster, kettle, and a microwave.
The the villas are perfect for single occupants but you can choose between a king-sized bed or twin bed configuration.
Wired and wireless Internet access is complimentary, and a flat-screen television with cable programming provides access to 44 channels of entertainment.
Other conveniences include a private spacious bathroom, a safe, a separate sitting area, private balcony, panic button, insect screens on windows and doors, free drinking water, and weekly housekeeping. A limited number of the villas are wheelchair accessible with ramps.
If you're looking for a safe, clean, affordable, place to call home for up to 3 months at a time, but want to avoid the constraints of a long-term lease agreement or buying, then Marigold Krabi provides a flexible solution.
Safe, Clean, Affordable
Long-term leases are commonplace in Thailand where properties are rented to a tenant for a minimum term of 6-12 months. In such cases, a lease agreement and bond is payable by the tenant. They would also have to ensure the home is cleaned prior to vacating, then negotiate the return of their bond. That is NOT the case here. No lease is required and a security card swipe suffices to serve as your bond. Cleaning is done by the hotel.
A rental property would come either furnished or unfurnished. These villas are all tastefully furnished, even with linen and crockery! Elsewhere, rental tenants would be responsible for payment of water, electricity, WiFi, cleaning, grounds, and pool maintenance. Here, those costs are all included, as are Government fees and charges. That way, you know EXACTLY how much you need to budget each month, and there are no unexpected surprises.

Around the Property
Shared recreational facilities include a Yoga Shala, small gym, library, restaurant, games room, hiking trails, and of course the pool. The pool, complete with jacuzzi jets, is centrally located and perfect for cooling off, enjoying the sight of dragonflies flitting among lotus blossoms, or watching playful birds and squirrels. Yoga, Pilates, meditation, breathwork, massage, and sound therapy are all available.
Local groups offer a range of activities, from bike riding, rock climbing, caving, and hiking to scuba and free diving. You can also take Thai language or Muay Thai lessons, join art or massage classes, or attend workshops on Thai traditional medicine or cooking.
Where to Explore
Krabi is one of Thailand’s most breathtaking provinces, with limestone mountains dotted with caves, crystal-clear springs, thermal hot springs nestled in the forests, and numerous rivers and lakes perfect for kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding. Offshore, a multitude of islands, islets await exploration by boat. A scenic 5km coastal walk begins right at the base of the property, and a ferry service is about 1km away.
Shopping
Marigold Krabi is a tranquil refuge located 7 mins drive from the bustling tourist area of Ao Nang, and 20 minutes drive from the administrative center of Krabi Town. ATMs, 7-Elevens, cafes, local eateries, small supermarkets, local fresh produce markets, are all within 3 - 5 minutes bike ride away. For larger shopping trips for groceries, there are multiple medium sized supermarkets offering inexpensive food ingredients, just 5 minutes drive away.
A vibrant cafe and shopping scene can be found in Ao Nang and it’s a good place to pick up inexpensive shoes and clothes made using local (breathable) fabrics. Krabi Town is where the locals go for homewares, night food-markets, non-tourist cafes, live music, open air bars, administrative/ Government services, schools, the hospital, and to walk the extensive parklands that come alive in the cooler evening hours. Pharmacies can be found everywhere, as can money exchanges and ATMs.
Finding your Tribe
Marigold Krabi is a fabulous wellness retreat. It is not a place you go if you’re wanting a fully-programmed vacation though. It’s a respite for healing, reflection and rejuvenation; a pop-up community where you’ll be welcomed by like-minded women who are just like you.
Come to regain confidence, rebuild your identity, and to learn how to navigate the world in an independent manner. We provide you with willing new Besties; your job is to arrive with an open heart, a willingness to dial down the pace, and a smile to accompany each greeting.

Danielle: I just left Krabi Marigold. I must say that there was much to love. The grounds and the cottages are just beautiful and the staff is wonderful. While I chose not to participate in most activities, group members were unfailingly kind and took a minute to check on me (and say hello to Marigold (the cat) and her surviving kitten). I loved how my choices were respected. The best part was getting to know the other Marigold members and just enjoying each other’s company. I am pretty sure I will cross paths with some of them again. The second best part was spending so much time with the cats. There is something comforting and magical about purring cats and kittens. Thank you Chantal for the organization and support and to the ladies for their friendship and kindness.

How to Book
Please submit a booking request for your desired dates, using the form at the bottom of this page. If we have availability for the dates you’ve requested, we will then request an invoice for the deposit amount to be issued by the hotelier, with the balance payable on arrival. If we do not have the requested dates, then alternative dates will be suggested.

As the hotel charges in Thai Baht, USD conversions are approximate and actual conversion rates will be dictated by the official bank rate on the date of transaction.

Payment Milestones

NOTE: Exchange rates are approximate. Dates may be transferred where availability exists, given no less than 30 days notice. Deposits are non-refundable. Please ensure you take out comprehensive travel insurance. Do not ask for a refund if you are unable to honor your booking commitment, as refusal is likely to offend.
Getting There & Around
The property is located in Ao Nam Mao in Krabi Province, Thailand.
AIR: Krabi International Airport (KBV) is the local international airport and numerous flights depart daily to destinations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Dubai, etc. Here’s a link that helps a lot https://www.flightsfrom.com/KBV
SEA: Large passenger ferries, speedboats, and longtails connect various areas in Krabi with surrounding destinations. A jetty exists just 5 minutes walk from the property, offering quick and affordable transport to East Railay Beach (TB100) and onwards from West Railay to the tourist hub of Ao Nang (TB100).
TRANSPORT: The property also has a shuttle van (with driver) who will happily transport you from A to B for a small fee. It can also be hired for the day to take you to various tourist attractions. Songthaews and Tuk-Tuks all provide cheap public transport, with the cost to go by Tuk-Tuk to Ao Nang, being TB200 each way. It takes approximately 3.5hours to drive to Phuket, 3 hours to Koh Lanta, and 4 hours to Koh Samui’s ferry terminal. To get to Ao Nang by road, it takes approx 7 minutes. To reach Krabi town, it takes approx 20 - 25 mins.
BIKE: Bicycles are available for guest use at the property, allowing you to explore the beauty of this peaceful village at your own pace.
SELF-DRIVE: Most people get around by scooter/ motorbike or car. Traffic tends drive slowly, yet it can still seem like you’re in a Crash Bandicoot game as road rules appear open to interpretation. Driving is on the left side of the road (like they do in the UK and Australia). International driver licences are required. Renting a car costs approx TB900/day.
Mopeds can be rented, but we do not recommend this. A Motorbike licence is required by law, as is the wearing of a helmet. NB: your insurance will NOT pay out if you have an accident if you have not complied with Thai law.

No smoking inside your villa or around the property.
To keep everyone safe and healthy, we kindly ask that if you’re feeling unwell upon arrival, you isolate in your villa.
If you have an infectious illness and need medical care, the reception staff will arrange for you to be taken to a private clinic, where experienced doctors and nurses will care for you in a modern, air-conditioned room. (Your travel insurance will cover the cost).

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. This is payable within 3 days of receiving the invoice. If not paid, your villa will be automatically released back into the rental pool.
Balance is payable in full to the hotel on check-in.
